Learning and Development
We pride ourselves on our ability to develop our own diamonds by recruiting for attitude over experience. This is demonstrated by our investment in talent schemes across the business such as our graduate schemes and apprenticeships. We are also proud to have been awarded the Investors in People Bronze Accreditation. Having held the standard accreditation since 1997, this shows Arena's long-term dedication to developing its employees.
Learning starts on day one with Arena and will continue throughout your career. We have a performance review system where you can discuss your career aspirations, development and training needs, and your progress so far against your own bespoke development plan.
A number of different methods are employed for learning, whether it’s a classroom-based course, work shadowing, mentoring, or distance learning – we ensure you have the right skills to do your job to the best of your ability.
We actively encourage practical training, from Excel skills to PRINCE2, and from management development to an MBA – we offer many employees study support, flexibility, and exam costs to ensure their continued development.

Richard Webb, Technical Support Manager at Arena, has been working for the company for almost 14 years. He started as a van driver delivering devices to customers, and after working his way up now provides much-appreciated support for our clients.
“Having been a customer of Arena’s for a number of years, I liked the way they worked and wanted to be part of this company. I joined as a van driver and quickly realised that my IT knowledge could be used on the new digital copiers. I chased this track and joined the IT Team 18 months later. This progression has continued through a number of different but evolving roles to my present position as part of the Help Desk Team. The desire to improve the customers’ experience was the reason I liked Arena back when I was a customer myself, and it is still very much my guiding light to this very day.”
